Is your watch serial no important to you?
« on: November 19, 2015, 11:17:05 AM »
Just want to get the general idea of whether enthusiasts here are choosy on the watch serial no.? Will you not buy if the serial no. is not good or not lucky you? This applies to non-numbered edition of course. For me, I am not so particular, but will just take if not too bad (444 etc will be out).

Yes, it's important. The serial number represent the watch for an identification purpose. It can be determined whether is a stolen or replica watches

Yes important to me. I was lucky to acquire my Daytona with the serial ending with my birthday and month!

Haha I don't believe in all this feng shui number 4 vs 8 stuff. But to each his own. If i got a serial to my bday like the guy above.... Now that would be amazing

So did you buy 388 pieces to make it 388x more auspicious?  :P  ;)

Yes, I do check the serial number to see if I am okay with the combination. When I purchased my first GMT II, I requested the sales personnel to show me a few new GMTs that they have so that I can select the serial  number that I like the most.
