Homemade Straps for Longines Czech Pilot
« on: September 22, 2015, 11:28:45 AM »
Its been a long long while I didn't get my hands dirty by making my own straps, I didn't like the alligator straps that comes with my Longines Czech Pilot because it just not vintage enough.

My choice of leather is always natural vege tanned and I dye it to my own colour preference.

This time a very light tone of brown which matched vintage military watch straps of that era (reference none other than PAM). As for the width of the straps I keep it to 22mm throughout and not the original straps of 22/20mm and buckle is a bit of an issues but I managed to find a matching one from some old straps.

Wow, incredible work. The watch itself is very nice, but with your strap and pics, you have elevated it and made it really desirable!

Nice one! I got the same watch too, but instead replaced it with a shark mesh strap. :) Its cool that you can make your own straps!

Nicely done, chiewata.

Look the shots with the design drawings background. Beautiful timepiece.
