Hi guys,
just wanted to share my short and sweet THREE Seiko 5 binges in a short 4 days period spanning Sunday - Thursday; just went nuts for deez 3 babies.
I was on a selling spree since last year to clear some pieces and free up some much needed $$ for some house reno work and found myself really needing to fill a WIS void (i'm sure some of you can relate). I was craving for some affordable but similarly well made and fun pieces which i didn't need to worry to much about banging up.
So first up courtesy of a popular watch website featuring this very piece here and a concise write up to re-ignite my love for them Seikos (was going for the Swiss misses for my last few pieces and my last seiko was one of my all time favs the Tuna SBBN007 which i had to release in the heat of my pursuit of them fine swiss pieces). Still regret that sale and hope the buyer is still loving that baby.
So out i went on a vigorous hunt to track this down for the lowest possible $$ and voila, a wristshot! Really like how the dial has many dimensions under different lighting, but with it being a Seiko 5, bracelet quality is found wanting; it rattles like a pocketful of coins; tried swapping out (and scuffing the back lugs quite a bit) and fitting on some 18mm leather i've got laying about but decided after that the stock bracelet was a better fit and look for me personally. That apart, i can't possibly think of anything which present a better value for our recently plunging Ringgit. Nothing like some small amount of RM$$ for utmost satisfying fun.

Next up, one cannot stop at just one rite? This piece was on the shortlist to give the daily wearer some colour variations. One needs some black and white in life to give it some clarity no? So white it was! I really enjoy how the shadow plays when the light hits the indices, another affordable piece reminisce of a GS model; if i recall correctly. Well for a fraction of the GS cost i guess this can't go much wrong.

Then what do you know, while browsing i came across a gold piece which i thought would be quite a cool weekender; what with the trend now being 'as old as gold'. This baby really spoke to me on pictures and i went about searching but alas many shops in KL didn't have this in stock anymore as it was from an older collection. So onto the interweb it was and i did manage to find a couple of options but wasn't prepared to pay that much; again coz our RM is like a bad mudslide vs. the USD. So a quick message this afternoon and tasking my brother working across the causeway to hit the shops to begin the watch hunt and well well that he did to the dot, and guess what? A short couple of hours wait and I present to you the final piece of my 4 days of unfiltered and pure exhilarating process of filling up the watchbox at a personal best time of a matter of days (literally)!
It'll be here soon enough when he makes the trip across the causeway so pictures will fill the void for now.

Now i have just one final oldie i look forward to adding to my Trio to make it a Quartet; but this i'm sure will be the the toughest nut to crack. Appreciate if you guys could hit me up with a PM if you happen to chance upon this piece below - SNXZ16.
