While i respect individual's preferences and choices, we are talking about intellectual property here and it's no longer about individual's right.... It's illegal, unethical and should not be condoned....
It is a criminal offense if one is caught with counterfeit products in france and several other EU countries.... Likewise, malaysian should not support this with 'tidak apa' attitude....
Whoever is supporting the replica (or piracy) industry is no different than those thieves that manufacture fake products.....

Well, unfortunately Being rich and having good stature in community does not automatically makes him an ethical person....like other people who wear counterfeit products, he is still an unethical person who should be ashamed of himself irregardless of his rationale to wear such products.... But, hey, this is Malaysia, there's no legal provisions or enforcement that govern this, so, who cares, wear it in good health.....

But I think for a lot of people who aren't so passionate allot watches, they don't really care about fakes. And I can understand that. I have some fake polo shirts, fake DVDs and I've downloaded music before, so I'm not about to judge!

Basically for watches are self fullfillement, work hard earn it then wear with pride. Wearing a fake to me us not about others its about cheating yourself.

Anyway its personal preference but beware if you travel to some country that take IP very seriously if you caught wearing a copyright infringing fakes u might be in trouble.

But anything u like or u do nevermind but pls dont use fake as gift to your girlfriend because the consequences is serious, in recent days a hot FB post in HK where one lady posted the picture of a newly launched Ice Blue Platinum Daytona given as preSent from her allegedly rich boy friend but some with sharp eyes immediately spotted it is a fake and the rest is history XDD.

During my younger days I was conned into buying fake Rolex as original. When I discovered it was fake it I was so frustrated. Years later I bought a used Rolex Air King in Bangkok but lost it due to my carelessness. In between I owned Citizens, Seiko, Titoni, Mercedes, Longines, all of which are authentic. Today I have an Oyster Date and proud of it.

To me it is better to wear a RM 300 authentic Seiko than a RM 1500 replica Rolex. Faking is daylight robbery

Buying fakes is not only a stupid waste of money, but you're indirectly contributing towards the billion-dollar counterfeit industry and you're making a disgrace of yourself by doing so.

Talking about Seiko, its maybe cheap in price but not cheap in technology and quality, SKX007 for instance priced at around RM700+ but it dive depth is 200m, quality casiNg finish and most important it powered by an in house moveMent that is time tested for robustness, frankly even my IWC 3777 is only powered by a modified ETA movement.

So my point is if u really loved watches and not jst wanna being "glamour" with ur branded watch it not necessary have to burn holes in your pocket.

But of course if u really wanna impress others by ur expensive taste then just go for the real one and never Need to worry someone might spot it is fake

I personally don't support fake stuff, I stopped fake after I know to differentiate authentic and fake. But I do download pirated songs, reason is it is not easy to buy a single track that I want instead of the whole album. Morever, I love old songs which sometimes not easy to find at store. If there is a site for me to pay and download original track not whole album, please share with me.

Agree with you on the music issue online.

I admit that I had downloaded music too, as it was impossible to download it legally online (not available) and the CD i order couldnt get through our glorious Malaysian Customs due to ( in their words "containing offensive material" ) whatever they mean, and returned it to sender.

So in the end, no choice la.....

I do have a friend who always browse through replicas' website and ask me whether this peice or that peice is nicer, but once i told him about homeage brands, he no longer do so.

Now he can wear his Steinhart and walk into AD w/o worrying sales personnel saying his watch is fake.

From experience , this save me a lot of explanation... and I don't really care what they think, honestly.

Also, I don't judge if I meet anyone with fake stuff. I'm sure they have their reasons.
