If you were to wear a Rolex which would be your choice,Datejust or Datejust II?and would you prefer the smooth bezel or the fluted one?

I would go with the datejust 2 because I have a bigger wrist and the 36mm is too small for me. As for the bezel, I will go with the fluted one signature to the datejust. Just my personal preference.

36mm imo is always the classic. The DJII hour markers appear too big for my preference. And the price point too which I would spend on a sporty professional Rollie. U may want to check out the DJ 116234 either black face or silver face or even the blue face with red coloured date numberings. Read the review of Hdkee u may be enticed. :)

I think it depends very much on your wrist size but the fluted ones are iconic.

Just a note to the muslim brothers (who might read this as future references) that the fluted bezel's made of white gold..

Sorry, i'm curious but why the note to Muslim brothers about white gold? They can't wear white gold in Islam?

2 school of thoughts.. the stricter one apply the rule of gold, even when mixed with other metal, is still gold & therefore, is not permissable..

But the more liberal school of thought says that when there's other metal mixed with gold to the point the gold loses its identity, then its permissable..

Again, note to the muslim brothers.. do your reading & follow what you belief in your heart.. after all the reading, its still between you & god..

One problem, since its white gold bezel will it turn yellowish after some time?and easier to get dent?some say hard to polish the fluted area abd it will look more flat if polish
