SEA Country with no GST or Equivalent?

I used to purchase watch directly from Stowa (Germany) and with the GST now enforce, it makes me wonder if there is any country nearby where i can send my watch there with no GST or other relevant taxed (much like what Malaysia used to) and i pick up the watch when i went travel there.

To be frank, with the airfare now so cheap especially for flight to country in the South East Asia, i would rather pay for the flight ticket and go for a trip then paying 6% GST just like that.

Off course this is merely an idea. I have no such country in mind, and even if can identify a country, there is another need to have someone you can trust in that country where you can send the watch to the person, while pending for you to go and meet up and retrieve.

Any thoughts?

HK is a duty free haven. No taxes here for imported goods and a flat income tax rate across the board of 17%. No progressive increase as you make more. Very transparent and very efficient public service.

Aha, so i can to my friend at HK and travel there to collect.... True?

How about Langkawi? Or Langkawi only duty free, not tax free?

Langkawi is interesting. But I bet most stuff still need to be shipped through the usual customs points eg KLIA, Subang etc. So unlikely to escape from GST.

Brunei, Myanmar, Hong Kong etc. U can request shipper send to hotel, hence collect it when u checkin

Imagine 10K watches, 6% = RM600..... can pay budget langkawi flight+ budget accommodation liao

8. Supplies of goods made by any person within or between designated areas (DA) are not subject to GST. This means that there is no GST (output tax) imposed on such supplies. As such, the supplies made are excluded from the determination of the GST prescribed threshold. Any such person is not required to be registered for GST. Batam Island, Langkawi Island, and Singapore Changi airport are duty free and GST free.
