Moisture inside need help
« on: June 08, 2015, 04:30:32 PM »
Hi, my wife Tissot showing bad moisture and it didn't go away after a week. Did not use for swimming. Just normal use and when back to hotel notice moisture. Could this be manufacturing defect and moisture able to enter? Should I bring back to Swatch directly for warranty claim? Need sifus advice.

That looks quite bad. I suggest you send it back to the SC immediately. It looks like a quartz model. I dread to think what would have happened to the movement after a week of that.

If under warranty, send it back to Swatch.

If not, bring it to a watch shop and have them open it to dry it out. I usually use a hair dryer plus leaving it open in an aircon room for few days. After that, I'll replace the gasket & battery before closing it.

Confirm need to be sent back for an overhaul. Its not usual for moist to get into your watch.

Since you mentioned about warranty claim, i assumed the watch is quite new....Quite unusual for new watch to have this...... If not due to abuse or negligence i dont see a reason why the SC would not repair this for free....
