Bargain Watches @ Groupon

I thought that it was a one-off deal on watches when SevenFriday Industrial watches were going at 50% discount at Groupon a while back. But looks like more offers were coming along- this time with a 40% discount on Seiko Prospex SRP639K1. If this trend continues, looks like we could pick up good bargains from time to time there. Just sharing and happy hunting!

i would be extremely cautious of that sevenfriday, as most fakes also sell around that price.

Bought my Seiko Monster from them a few years back. Did not face any issues of fakes. Anyway its always good to do some homework on the pricing online and those from AD as they tend to use the original RRP and discount it heavily as though the buyers are getting a super deal.

I'm quite surprised that Groupon could list fake watches on its site. Scary thought really. As for fake G-Shocks, those were quite easy to tell actually : scrutinised properly and you'd noticed that they write 1/1000 on the dial instead of Casio, and for those with special functionalities' module e.g. Master of G (Rangeman, Riseman, Mudman), the fakes have no such functionalities.

Hmmmm...normally fakes exists when the brand is established/popular(casio g shock) or expensive (rolex)...was surprised that there are pirated 7 fridays,and on groupon some more. Could it be that these are grey market or parallel import stuff?

Hm.. not advisible to go for group buy as replica 7friday are presense/growing aggressively in the market
