Heuer Skipper 73464
This Skipper is from a real life skipper (an author, competitive sailor, yacht seller and… ). This skipper started its life most probably with a corfam (that might not last the rugged life of a skipper) and then with a nato, most likely the very same nato it came with.
These Skippers were made in batches of 50s… when there is demand the watchmaker at Heuer will assemble them… Production date for this model: 1971-1973.
Watch in original condition with nato strap (notice the light marks on the backcase made by the nato) . Light fading of the orange hands and the dial is prefect. Movement is manual Valjoux 7734  and case model is 73463. This is the last manual skipper model before they shift to auto skipper (modified cal. 15)

With a new blue nato…

Couldn’t stand the scratched crystal so done some polishing….

Plexi ready for fine polishing…

Result for comparison:

Thanks for reading!

Rare to find one from a real life skipper. Imagine its adventures and the ups and downs throughout its life.

Great catch bro!
