Yes...that true...as a watch fan/collector we need to learn "know how" how to treat our watches by ourselves without sending them to watch shop/service centre...

u cant stop oil from oxydization, after few yrs, watch still need to be serviced.
but with more knowledge on the movement and watch, u can avoid uneccesary mistake that can spoil the watch, eg set date during mid night for most movement

Agree with you Chrisyen...maybe I need to learn more...and more about technical/art of watch from the sifu here...currently I just know the basic knowledge "know how"...how to change strap..battery..crown stem..and more..without thinking how to make our watch long lasting as what you have mentioned above...thanks...

Thanks for viewing...almost of my collection are in black case and related to military and aviator...
The oldest here is early model 2003 Luminox Navy Seals 3003 Blue Face with "Navy Seals" wording
on watch face...still in good condition running excellently after 12 years...
