The watch that started it all.

Thought that it would be interesting to know the very first watch that started your journey into the world of horology obsession. Mine was the Hamilton Jazzmaster Auto Chrono.

Yoda, mine has a very worn and discolored bezel after all those years of "torture", sent back to Seiko for bezel replacement + service last year, feel and look like given a brand new life now!  yours comes with metal bracelet? Mine with rubber…

Should read as SKX009 I supposed…

Mine comes with rubber, 2 years later I changed it to bracelet.

Those days when I first wore it is huge. But now the trend is huge watch everywhere, I find this tolerable with my 6.5 inch wrist.

I like it but because of the size it was not worn most of the time in those days. But now since its a trend I don't find it huge anymore and its comfortable.

The year of production is August 1997 by checking the serial number at the back. Whats your serial number?

On this today

That reminds me time to service it too.

Based on the Seiko calculator (SCWF)  its September 1997 well just one month after mine.

Very close.

Wear in good health brother

The watch that started it all, is not a G Shock that get spoiled and the watch shop not helpful in sending it for fix, prompting me to look into alternative and mechanical watch.

This was the first poison of them all... wife helped buy from HK... I was too sayang to wear but subsequently traded it for a 292..
