Looking at 2 majorities preferred direction...

I m looking at a gd German pilot kind of case suitable for a dressy dial or kind...

A straight forward gd 316L brush/polish steel case of 40-42mm with an onion crown.

this would mean it'll be close to rm2k?

If it is a gd Swiss n German made case with Swiss movement... Gift to be much more!

How well the movement we want it decorated?

Skeletonise?

Beveled n perlage plus ctg n blue screw?

Or plain?

I will do some study....

May next round of survey on that...

well, i'm just basing it by looking at the price of the archimedes pilots which uses ickler cases and with apparently a top grade 2824, which comes up to about usd555.

thanks those who gave their view .... I can sense all are kind and good intended.

I do not want to complicate the matter, tragedy is not good to associate with our MWF watch. We will easily get blame for 'trying to be famous'

I will concentrate on project watch ....

If that is the decision, I think we can all totally respect that. I also appreciate andytagheuer view on the matter and I have to agree to most of his points. :)

If the decision is to go with the Pilot watch, I'm still in. German style Pilot watch with onion crown sounds good!

I vote for Pilot too… I agreed that our project watch should refrain from any links to MH’s incident.
Can we have a clean and neat Pilot watch? I love to have a skeleton dial if it cost minimal compare to solid dial.

higher end movement thing!

Agree, not the normal B-uhr and B&R type.

Maybe a tilted dial (i.e. 12 o'clock to be positioned at 1:30 o'clock), like the VACHERON CONSTANTIN HISTORIQUES AMERICAN 1921 or the LONGINES AVIGATION WATCH TYPE A-7.

Case max at 42mm, matt black dial and fake patina markers.

I vote for pilot, but ya agreed, maybe we should stay away frm the 2 incidents.

1. 40-43mm case
2. reliable eta movement
2 handful of Stowas, 4 Makara and 4 HMT...

Not feeling a lot of love for the MH370 tribute!

No worries, I might still be interested, if the design and price are right.

Pilot as a tribute to those who lost their life in the 2 incidents but stay away from them. No link to them...
Prefer something ard 45-47mm.
Reliable eta movement, seiko nh35 prehaps?
No date please...

hmm. Depending on what is the price point, a few more "affordable" german brand that i can think of:

Archimede, Tourby, Uhr,
2 handful of Stowas, 4 Makara and 4 HMT...
