anyone familiar with the Orient Blue Mako?

U can't go wrong with a Mako. It is on par with the seiko monster. Well a little lower I might say. Anyway it's a value for money.

Not sure if you're referring to the older Mako or new Mako II (or XL)?

I got the Mako II (some call it the Hogrider) and skipped on the Mako coz it wore a tad bit small on my wrist. 44mm vs 41mm.

However the Mako does have unidirection bezel, a signed crown and IMO a better push button.

I got Mako II (orange dial) before. A nice, reliable, solid watch & very affordable. You can't go wrong with Mako.  :thumbsup:

XL is aesthetically more pleasing to the eye compared to the Seiko monster which I also used to have.got loads of presence on the wrist.Go for it
