rolex sub c dropped on crown and stuck
« on: June 17, 2014, 03:02:52 PM »
Hello all the bro,

I'm very panic right now , I drop my sub crown down on the floor . Now the crown can't be unscrew . Sort of like stuck ..I rush to wing wah at subang jaya and the watch technician is not on until Friday . Anywhere can I get help or shop to fix it . And roughly the cost of it ?

Will they change the parts inside the watch while fixing it ? I'm really panic now and can anyone let me know where can I get it fix now ASAP ?

I'm dead broke now if the cost is really expensive I'm doomed

Best thing to do is to go to the Rolex Service Centre at Menara Dion in KL. Let the professionals handle your precious! BTW, they accept credit card payment without surcharge.. ;D

I was going to suggest a pair of good pliers but I think it's best to go to Menara Dion.

If the watch is still running fine, why not give it a try? Use with a cloth to avoid scratches.

Yea the watch is running perfectly good . I tried a cloth and plier . Manage to unscrew it already . But the tooth of the crown not nice edi Cox got small dent from using plier . But still not easy to screw or unscrew . Maybe the tube connecting the crown bent edi ..

Good to hear that it is running fine .... once again it shows that Rolex is tough watch :Laughing_on_floor:

Did you sent to Rolex Service Center for check up ? or you brought it back to your grey dealer WW watch dealer in Subang ?

i think let the subang shop you mentioned to have a look first. you could potentially save a lot.

If you bought it from a grey dealer, maybe you get cheaper/faster service there. Ask to put it on a timegrapher to make sure it's still keeping time and check the amplitude. Maybe all you need is a new crown and stem.

sorry to hear what happened. I can only imagine the uneasy feeling of it. Hopefully it's not too serious and you can wait long enough until the next full service, to not only replace the crown/stem but also service the rest of the movement.
