Low budget watch recommendation?
« on: May 25, 2014, 02:52:30 PM »
Hello. I know you guys have a lot of money and wear 1k++ watch but not everyone is lucky as you guys. Please don't laugh...I've very low budget to buy good quality watch. Is there any good design/functional watch that are under RM300?

I already said please don't laugh.....  :Scolding:

Unisex watch or ladies watch...The thing is, there are many watches under RM300 but I really don't like the design. I'm really fussy about the watch's head shape and the strap. I really dislike ceramic/leather material strap. And for the head (err..bezel or whatever I don't know what it's name) I don't really like square-shaped. But sometimes square-shaped watch looks nice too. Please do tell me if anyone got one in mind...the design is the first thing I look up to~

None of us are "lucky" that we can afford the watches we are wearing, because all of us worked hard to pursue our dreams :Cheers:
Anyway, with RM300, girl watch, no leather, no bracelet, no square, Swatch will be the best choice lah :Laughing_on_floor:

swatch design are pretty nice.....but.....my old experience wearing swatch...it's easy to get damage especially the strap. Even to buy new strap cost above RM50... ;A;

No watch straps can last forever, RM50 is still pretty reasonable.

I said it's ABOVE RM50. Can be mean RM70+ :P
Yea not last forever but at least takes time like 3+ year to get damage. :/
I like stainless steel..don't have any stainless steel watch that are under 300? ;A;
And do you know what type of material is the strap in this pic? This type of strap is also okay.

I will go for swatch then if there's no other watch. ;A;

70+ is quite reasonable, too.
This is a fabric strap. Very similar to Nato and Zulu.

Anyway, there is a few SS watches for ladies under RM300, and also an Automatic.
However, the design doesn't really appeal to young girls of your age.

Before the replies scare you away....

RM300+ watch with steel bracelet will not be good and nice. Seiko does have some but then the bracelet is quite poor quality-wise. And the design will likely not appeal to young, fashionable ladies like you. Think of it as boring.

With a budget under RM500, your best choice will be leather strap watches as more would be spent on the watch case, crystal and movement etc.

Swatch is OK actually. And you can't expect plastic/leather/fabric straps to last as long as steel bracelets. With a reasonably good steel bracelet, expect to pay closer to RM1000

P/S. don't let the wolves scare you away.

Seiko, Swatch, Casio etc

There are many brands within your budget. The love for watches doesn't necessarily have to be expensive

I agree with some if you on Seiko. Can't go too far wrong with that! I have a Seiko Arctura for 10 years, extremely reliable and good value for money!  :thumbsup:

Thank you sinbad2k.  ;) ;D But like I said, it's a bit off budget.

To be honest, man's watches design are prettier than woman. If the size can be smaller....it's a good news for me.. :'(

I still can't find Seiko model that caught my eyes.

I find a replica of EMPORIO ARMANI (Chronograph) for woman in an auction site. And I just won the auction..lol.

As long as it can work like other chronograph watch....  :Dancing_banana:
