Me too. The more you said "don't want to buy" a watch..... after getting expensive/dream/grail/or else..... the more you eager to get a new one... I had to blame myself for that.  ;) Hahaha....

For me buying a watch is one of the satisfaction.... feel like a food to my soul.... hahaha....  :Laughing_on_floor: ... Cannot stop la buying watches (a least for me) even though I got a RM1mil watch on my hand.

Agreed ;)

I once have more then 30 watches ... Vintage, modern and etc... Name it and I might have (except those pp,  vc, iwc, etc la).., then I decided to sell all (most of it) and focus on certain complication I want ;)

In short, too many watches out there and we will not be able to "walap" all... Focus on the theme u set in your collection and quality ;)

Just my 2 cents...

Scott

I was also initially very interested in any nice looking watches.

Now, I prefer to concentrate on a 2 - 3 brands and mostly chronograph watches.

That is precisely the reason for some of my watches. Had a good holiday in Penang - buy 1 for remembrance. Went to Philippines - buy 1, Went to HK, another 1, friend open shop, buy 1, etc, etc.  :P

I had to make the same decision recently. Either spend  11K on a IWC PILOT Mark 16 or buy 3 watches for the same amount. I chose the latter so I now own a Ball Fireman Ohio and a Damasko DA36. For my third watch I am looking
at STOWA Marine.

To each of his / her own choice. Owning one super duper watch instead of three super watches on rotating basis, the choice is yours.

IMO, I would prefer to go for rotating watches for fresh look instead of only one watch all year round. After all, a watch is for telling time. Its your feeling and wants that’s count.

Over time, when your needs to just one super duper watch comes along, you will know it - as it’s just comes naturally, really.

Good luck.
