Hi there everyone ...

A newbie here checking in and making the customary introduction ...

A Perakian who've settled down in Shah Alam a long time but currently working overseas.

I've been collecting mechanical watches since the late 80's and currently more into Japanese automatics.
Especially in-house movement Orients

Hope to learn a thing or two from the sifus here.  ;D

Since I'm travelling/working overseas so my current stash are kinda limited.
But here goes some of the watches i bring along with me travelling and some that I've acquired locally here ...


Japan Made. Urika. Automatic. circa 1970s. Bought in early 1990s at Rope Walk, Penang. One of my weekend watches.


Swiss Made - TAG Heuer F1. Quartz. Bought in 1995.


British Made - Astbury & Co. Automatic. Bought in 1996.


Swiss Made - Gruen Precision 24-Hour Jump. Manual Wind. Bought in Feb. 2014. One of my weekend watch.


Seiko 5 Sports. Military. Automatic. Bought in Feb 2014.


Orient M-Force Titanium. Automatic. Bought in March 2014.


Orient Pilot. Automatic. Bought in April 2014.


Latest acquisation: OrientStar X Somes. Automatic. Bought in May 2014.

I'd say you could challenge Meor in about 2 years at your current rate of acquisition! You're a real watch addict indeed.

i don't think anybody in forum can challenge meor acquisition..

Thanks for all the encouragement guys ... truly appreciated.

This particular Gruen Precision has a jump hour feature and this happens after the hour hands passes the 12 noon.
The hour windows will show the numbers 13, 14, 15 respectively for the corresponding 1,2,3 ...
If I'm not mistaken this watch was designed for pilots for easy reading of the 24 hours markers.

Will try to post a picture of it soon.

Rideau Birks. Automatic. 17 Jewels. 1964. Purchased via EBay April 2014. My first purchase of a birth year watch. This is to commemorate my 50th year alive and kicking in this beautiful world. LOL.


Omega Constellation. Automatic. Cal 561. 1964. 24 Jewels. My second birth year watch.
