I have been wearing one watch for almost 10 years without realizing that every alternate month I need to change the date because it is not a perpetual date.

So I have to change the date to 1st of the following month if the month ended with 30th as the watch is with 31st.

Do you guys change the date  or leave it as it is?

If so naturally would you adjust the timing if its not a COSC standard?

If you really adjust it then why bother particular about the accuracy since you will adjust the timing every alternate month?

Open for some discussion only la.

Yes I would advance the date if required. Also will sync up the time if accuracy is -/+60s.

Yes, that's what a crown is for, besides changing and adjusting the time  ;D

Also, remember the rule of ensuring no change of date during the forbidden hours.

Some watches are made to be fool-proof of this but personally I'd rather not take risks (I've made this mistake once but luckily no damages, phew).

I'm sure that watch fans such as those on MWF are anal when it comes to date and time accuracy!

For me, I definitely advance the date every other month and I also do take the trouble to synchronize the seconds with that of the official atomic clock reading from the internet. Definitely anal about exact time!
