First, what is your budget and whether new or pre-owned ?

Your criteria is quartz, leather, thin .... maybe you want to look at Cartier Tank, one of the entry level comes in leather and quartz retails for around RM8,000 I think brand new

Gilthoniel,

Get her a Rolex Cellini Danaos Lady 6229.9 bic  8) . My better half hinting for a Mid Size / Boy Size Rolex President Gold Dial / MOP with Big Diamond and Diamond Stud Bezel with Gold Bracelet for her next birthday. :Laughing_on_floor:

Think She will get her Gift next year ???? :Laughing_on_floor:

But I do agree with JeepWH on Longines. They are sexy
I would suggest a Longine DolceVita L5.502.4.73.2 with a Leather Strap since you wanted a Leather Strap. But a Longine DolceVita L5.155.7.16.6 or a L5.155.5.19.7 but these are Gold / 2 tone beauty. The price is quite affordable.

Good Luck

Since no budget is stated, a Cartier Tank?
Thin, Leather strap, quartz... and it's iconic...

My opinion is a no brainer.... JLC Reverso by far, very far
Not unless you are comparing between the latest Cartier high complication in-house and an equivalent JLC Reverso then it depends on which model..

Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.

I didn't know you were referring to quartz watches..
In that case its a matter of which style she prefers..
No diff in quality. The Reverso costs more coz the case construction is much more complex.
If I were you however, I would'nt spend big bucks as 5 figures on a quartz watch so I'd take the Cartier as its value proposition is better.

Yeah... 2 times the price of the tank.
Bear in mind this is a watch for a lady who might or might not be a WIS.
A JLC might tick the boxes for us WIS... might not for a non WIS Lady.

Cartier on the other hand caters especially for ladies.

The Red Box... chicks dig it...
The Tank... if it's good enough for Lady Diana... well...  ;D

Thanks for all the replies guys.

It's not for me actually... boss asking me to recommend LOL.Quartz because his wife will complain if the watch stops (wife is a housewife, will only wear when going out)

I did recommend him both the Cartier Tank and the JLC, and he did mention that JLC is too expensive for his wife's taste. Mind you, budget is of no concern to him but his wife is very low profile so he just wants a simple watch for her.

I think I'll recommend him the Cartier Tank or one of the Longines

Thanks so much guys! I'll see what he says and update you!

Red and Blue boxes, chicks drool over them ;D

I do agree with that... non WIS lady most probably will lean towards the Tank... WIS lady most probably will not go for the quartz JLC

Agree with bro Hanz that chicks love the red box of Cartier.

Should you get the Cartier Tank for your wife, her heart would probably skip several beats by just looking at the box itself before opening to it's contents.

I think a Cartier speaks wonders about how much you want her to be happy, not to stereotype but woman are way way  :Scolding: more into brands then Men.

Dont think they r into the complications or mechanics like we do  :Laughing_on_floor:

Newbie to MWF here, great forum with great people with similar interest! First post that caught my attention  :)
Was in the same situation a month back when scouring about for a ladies' watch. Was considering a JLC reverso but not sure if wifey is able to care for the leather strap. Narrowed down to a Cartier Santos and a Rolex, well in the end it was a Rolex that made everyone happy, very recognizable 'Crown' logo to her family. Typical. :)
Hope that helped!

Must be thin, light.
