I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

To buy new u can buy when u like n no worry of watch got problem
but u'll loose mo $ If u sell

buy used if u do not want to pay mo n do want to loose that much later
problem is u do not get to choose sometimes n u do not know where to
get service

but u can still buy from used watch shop then warranty is given

for ur budget, u can get a decent Swiss made watch

get a automatic watch with Swiss eta2824-2 movement watch
proven durable n cheaper also easy to maintain

plenty of watch fitted with this at ur budget
tissot - all auto non chrono watch, classic or sporty up to you
oris - same
mido - alot of classic dressy even with gold plated
ball - fireman, engineer...
Sinn
glycine

Or go online
stowa - antea, marine, pilot
archimede
steinhart
debaufre

Or maybe get 2 seikos or orient or citizen

get a seiko sumo/ samurai/ citizen autozilla/ orient star 300 diver for weekend

then get another seiko or citizen dressy watch like small gs, diashock.... For dinner or office
