Question: Panerai
« on: February 16, 2014, 02:40:45 PM »
Hi all...
Planning to get my first Panerai watch. Base model, I hv decided to acquire either the Pam005 or Pam380. Both watch are manual winding with seconds hand.
To my surprise, both model are hard to get. Anybody know where to get it? Preferrably brand new in box, but i dont mind if pre-loved if the condition is good.
Or if anyone can suggest other model for my first Pam? Budget is little tight i.e. 20k max.
Thanks.

PAM 312, 3 days power reserve, really beautiful watch! or maybe the PAM 292, a radiomir case panerai, both are my dream panerai  ;D
or maybe the PAM 111, which looks very similar to the PAM 312!

i was looking for these 2 models mid last year and according to ADs, the waiting list is :Scolding: long and the first one on the list has been already waiting for more than a year

anyway... since the introduction of the 510/512/514/560, not sure if these base models will be discontinued?

Any particular reason you want both the logo and sub second on the dial?

I just like my watch to have a second hand on the dial..let it be sub second or normal hand on the middle.  :)

Personally wouldn't want the logo and the sub second to be both present on the dial. Too much going and it look busy. Kind of lost the balance of the otherwise nice design.

Personally, I would make a decision to either choose the logo or the sub second, not both.

Preferably new / unworn. But i wouldn't mind if used provided the condition is good.  :)

Bro Godzillaz, if i hv to choose, i'll choose sub second rather than the logo. I agreed with u nevertheless, both are clean and neat..however i found no.2 is nicer to my eyes.

Got my first Pam, a 164 and just realised there are two different dials that really differentiates all the Pams. This may sound shallow but aesthetic wise, the type of dial could be one of your initial considerations in getttinf a Pam.
Still love my 164 nevertheless, my holy grail!

Hi all,

Caught by the PAM bug recently and would like to know which AD in town has the most models to try out? Or which shop has the most variety of pre-owned PAMs?
