Dear members,

I am thinking of purchasing a Ingersoll tourbillion, there are few models with affordable price, lahota, pierce and Wilson. can anyone share their experience on this brand?

Check this page out, might expain some of your queries. BTW, Ingersoll is now owned by a China company, and some of its models uses chinese movements.

If you really must have a tourbillon, try and find a Sea-Gull branded piece.  Sea-Gull make the better (affordable) Chinese tourbillon movements, and it's nice to have the manufacturer's name on the watch.  Sea-Gull also do a decent job on the rest of the watch - I had a M222S for a few years and it was really well made.

I was told that igersoll tourbillion is also using seagull movement but ingersoll has a better desin

you might wanna try the shop in Bangsar Village. They had a few Seagulls there the last time i was there a few months back....Not sure about now tho...

Although Ingersoll is owned by a chinese company, the HQ and manufacture is still in Switzerland. And if i'm not wrong, part of the takeover deal was that they had to maintain a Swiss staff ad R&D team. Therefore, the design is more refined, along the likes of other swiss watches.

Maybe, maybe not.  The Sea-Gull I had was really rather nice.  The case was about as well finished as my colleague's Meistersinger, for example.  Regardless, given the option I personally would still rather have a manufacturer on the dial than some Swinese brand name.
