How to Disassemble and Assemble a P2002 in 35min

Was lucky enough to stumble upon Mitsukoshi's Panerai exhibition in Nagoya on the weekend.

They are enlisting Panerai into their fine watch department and thus was doing a small exhibition to show the local customers. Looks exactly like the in-house movement roadshows last year in Asian Civilisation Museum abeit in a smaller scale.

Managed to snap some crappy photos on my phone.

this is how he removes the indicator. it's the same method used to remove the hands and fang. just place a simple plastic sheet over the watch and lever over the sheet to pry 'em off without scratching everything.

precise equal strength is required.





with the whole dial removed you can see the the cog wheel that moves the power indicator. the copper coloured wheel near the thumb.
