Quick drop by the Geneva Boutique...
« on: January 27, 2014, 12:30:22 AM »
Snuck out of the Palexpo for half a day during the SIHH week to visit the Geneva boutique - the original Patek building that is almost akin to a museum. It comprises five floors and for formal appointments with collectors of varying 'weight' correspond to the floor you are in... or as legend would have it !

I was shown up to the second floor where quite a few beauties were on display...

the incredible ref 5204 on my wrist, with the inhouse base chronograph superceding the lemania base of ref 5004... as some of you may know, it is generally agreed that a split perpetual is harder to construct that a tourbillon. with Patek's new inhouse chronograph movement with a rattrapante module, the movement is incredible. the seamless reset feels almost digital !

and an incredible repeater in platinum. for patek, white gold is to them their best metal for a repeater, but this platinum piece was enough for any and all to take our hats of. loud, crisp tones that resonate so well.

that's all folks !
