Guys...I just walked into a random Omega boutique in Causeway Bay yesterday and they had the dark side of the moon. The only one in that shop. Retailing at about HKD 93,000...the manager was an ex colleague of mine and I was able to have that watch on my wrist. I didn't want to take a wrist shot as there were at least 4 salesgirls there to assist me. Whew...talk about good service. Anyways...a quick and humble thought on my take of that watch. Wonderfully light. Very advanced in technology. But somehow didn't really sing to me. The dial was not really that impressive and the strap was somewhat of a disappointment due to the rubber holes for the pin. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Not my cuppa. For that price range, I would go JLC MUT moon or save a bit more for an AP diver or 15400.

even with the SS MUT, you'll get enough change to get a ladies AT for the missus :Laughing_on_floor:

Lol...can't agree more. But then again, I can only dream about getting another watch as I have to save for my kids' education fund. I can only think about another watch in ten years...

Based on watches launched to-date, wishlist for 2014, EITHER ;

a) 2014 SIHH JLC MC chrono/dual time in ceramic
b) Amvox 5 Worldtime chrono cermet
c) Dark Side of Moon
d) re-issue Speedmaster Mk II or a mint original 70's Mk II
e) IWC Ingenieuer ceramic

whichever has a better price/value proposition

Would love a forged carbon piece to add on to the ceramic piece but undecided which manufacture yet...

Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.
