hi,
you're not weird.
In fact the only diff between you and I is that I don't dabble in prop investment.. not rich enough & I don't play golf. I'm especially with you on the single malts... and the other stuff...

I think I can be the exception? I love photography...I love talking about property investment. I love golf, I also love tennis...I don't love cars as a hobby as I look at cars as a tool. And in Malaysia, a nice car attracts too much unwarranted attention. I like travelling and I love a good meal paired up with a good drink. May it be whiskey(single malt only) or wine...I also enjoy the occasional beer.
Maybe I am just weird...LOL

hi,
I agree its not easy to conclude. Anyway it was not meant to be a conclusive statement, hence my comment..'Correct me if I'm wrong'
I was only drawing on the small sampling of people I actually know, so its definitely not representative of everyone.
As such my statement was just an observation of my own small circle of friends..

i like watches and cars, not DIY and other mechanics. i like property and share investments, not travelling and fine dining, and no golf for me.

So i think quite difficult to conclude from here. ;)

Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.

What's life without pursuits..

Anyway I was like you up to several years ago but getting older has mellowed me and I'm now content with simpler pleasures of travel, photography, watches, good food and single malts & great beers....

As for me...I think I might have too many interests which is a really bad thing to my account balance.  :Blue:  Let's see, apart from horology, I am also crazy about traveling, fine dining, photography, cars, hi-fi, fashion, stock investment, Lego!, home deco, movies, music...etc!  This is bad.

Therefore it is good to have a portal like MWF for watch lovers to come together and sharing.  my own circle of friends also not so much into watches. many think Rolex is the ultimate watch.

I feel a watch is very important to man. Unlike females they can have handbags and many sort of jewellery to show their status or express themselves. we man have our watches!
