Hi guys,

Been wanting tp buy my first gshock, but would like to learn better.

If i want to buy one and only gshock, which one to buy?

A JDM gshock? Or any other unique gshock? Pls enlightened me.

Thanks

so many models with diff styles, quite impossible to recommend one without knowing what u want.
for fashion? for proper outdoor usage?

Hi,

Yeah, last night I browsed net. Sooo many designs and beautiful. Maybe I kinda wanting the military types? Or diver?

Not so expensive and recent model perhaps.

i think the only certified gshock diver is the frogman, not easy to find here.
if used by military, the 2 most common ones are 5600 - as shown above - and 6900...mostly cos they're cheap and of cos durable.
if military inspired, then just search for MS - military, NV - navy blue and KG - olive green extensions.

for me, i personally prefer the mudmans since they're one of the toughest gshocks out there.

Mudman G9000 I recommend. It got military SEAL all black, also green camo and grey camo (more rare thou), which I think you will like. Best of all, it is very cheap.

Btw, the case back engraving racing mole is kinna cute too.

It is also the one that is used in the infamous hammer test.  ;D

My eyes almost dropped out when i saw one Frogman going for two k at Paradigm Mall G Factory last Sunday.  I wished the lens / glass of G Shocks made of sapphire.  My wife's Tiffany bracelet scratched my Mudman glass last evening.  I guess its ok cos its a GShock.

maybe its a limited edition frogman?

but sapphire shatters, guess thats why gshocks dont use them.

imo, Mudman 9300.
the rest, unless you have a need for tide-graph / multi-band / etc, is abit pointless.

hello fellow g-shock enthusiast,

where do you guys get your g-shock parts locally?

im looking to refurbish my old dw-5200 e.g resin.band, bezel etc. apparently the parts are the same size and fit with the dw-5600c's.

called marco and they don't have any.

thank you.

heheh your "why not buy new?" question will invite many arguement  ;D

a new dw5600e, made in china, module no 3229, you can get for below rm200. i can show u where if ure interested. from genuine marco dealer.

anyway, if anyone here know where to get parts for dw5600c locally, please let me know.

in the mean time, back to the bay i guess. thank you.

yea well, it applies for some.
like the seiko 7s26 movement...due to its cheapness...most replace the movement rather than service it :P

Would have go for GWA-1000 if wasn't for the lume. So it save me Rm 800 i guess... Actually this model comes with Auto illumination that when you tilt your hand 45 degree or so like looking at the watch, the lume will auto lights up for 1.5 or 3 seconds adjustable. :)
