GS sbga011 snow flake
« on: November 26, 2013, 08:42:42 AM »
Hi all the GS sifu,

I have yet to see the sbga011 in flesh. I was wondering for those who have seen it in flesh , how does the finishes of the titanium compared to their stainless steel ? . I like the mirror like finishes of the stainless steel, and i am just afraid that the titanium would be abit more duller/darker as compared to the stainless steel.

i've not own any Ti from GS so far, but have seen one in real piece, not sure if i can say this, GS Ti is the brightest surface so far compare to most of Ti, the shinny mirror effect is there and does not look like Ti  :)

I have seen SGBA011 in real and it looks almost like in the photo. It is not as shiny as SS but you can tell it is not the usual dull Ti from other brands.

I certainly do believe it should be one of the brightest titanium watch around. I have got a fren in japan that actually went yesterday and compare the snowflake to the others stainless steel GS side by side and he was saying the Stainless steel are still slightly brighter.

Anyway, thank you guys for helping to further clarified and justify that the photos on the web are not misleading in anyway !

Hi everyone , thanks for answering and helping out on in this thread . I have made my decision and went for the sbgr081. I am a sucker for their mirror finishing ! Without you guys here i doubt i will be buying a watch without seeing it in flesh.  Thanks again.

I prefer the case design of the 081 and it's slightly bigger which i prefer since i usually on short sleeves and i believe it would suits more casually. The next is that i am still being abit sceptical with the spring drive movement being all mechanical. Although i clearly knows that the electromagnet was acting as a brake for the minutes. (layman terms) however i might need more time to sink into this. Beside this, the 081 is a limited edition and when it's gone , it's gone but snow flake i  can buy pretty easy.

I was actually eyeing on your 081 but that time i was still doing research on GS. half-hearted however ,when i saw that you have sold yours before i have the chance to ask you. i was determined that i need to buy it, As it was on my mind day and night  ! lol   ;D ;D
