German Watch and Pen
« on: November 16, 2013, 07:43:47 AM »
my very 1st fine fountain pen, after get poison from someone else. have a few other pens before mainly are ball and roller pen, such Porsche shaker, Sheaffer Carbon Fiber and etc.

Thanks to a great Saturday morning sun light, decided to take a few pix to share, both Watch and Pen are made in German, very fine and quality made indeed, both are identically similar to color such silver, gold, blue and black

i'm still noob in pen, ink or paper. but there are lots of fun in it to explore

thanks for viewing :)

hi thirdman, so far so good, very smooth writing, yet to get the ink i desire

not sure if you have similar issue, my pen seems like "sweat" itself inside the cap with water (not ink), is this normal ?  ???

Cheers, I'll try to emulate your post, and this is as German pairing as I can get.

IWC Portofino VC with Montblanc Thomas Mann

It happens sometimes. It's just condensation within inside the cap.

When you flush the pen and clean the nib, just use a damp cotton bud to wipe and clean off the ink that may be inside the cap, and let it dry.

Just don't flush the cap with tap water directly as excessive water may be trapped inside and quicken oxidation of the metal parts within.

nice pix ! and such lovely match for both black and silver combi, moonphase was always on my wishlist but its too big for my wrist, hence go for something smaller a lil bro of portofino....

*how i wish i can engrave the portofino port into the case back like the yellow gold version  :Praying:

so sorry thirdman, didn't notice your earlier message  :-[

Very nice sketch!   That's a handsome portofino too!

Couple of days ago, I just happened to bump across the boutique edition, blue dial, with the engraving in white gold...
