My personal advice to potential ROO owners...
1. Try out the watch FIRST, especially if you have small wrists.
- Hornback is more rigid than rubber strap and most 42mm ROO can change to a rubber strap or calf leather which is gives a better fit instead of looking like a bangle.
- About 6.5" is the smallest I would say before it looks too big, unless of course your wrist is more flatter than it is round. I have 6.5" wrists and even with the XS rubber strap, I am between the 2nd and 3rd last hole depending on the weather.
2. Once your wrist can pull off a ROO, look at the various models which differentiate mainly on case material, dial and bezel.
- Decide if you want chrono or not. Non-chrono would narrow down your search to the Diver range.
- Find the dial you like best.
- Most 42mm ROO don't have display caseback except on some LE.
- Find a good deal!
3. LE editiions are always going to cost about 1.5 times more than normal ROO on the used market. Expect always to lose 10-20% if you are selling any ROO, regardless what everyone says.
4. If buying a used ROO at market price, always buy one with remaining AP warranty. Service will cost quite a bit so if buying out of warranty, factor in cost of one service.
