I like the design of Maurice Lacroix watches very much, I have a budget of 6-8k, which decent model can I get? I'm also will be going to HK next week, I heard HK watches are cheaper than MY here... not sure though..

i still remember the very 1st ML watch that i love the most is the pontos small seconds (hand wind), love the simple with a lil 3D look great for dressy watch

till today i've not owned it, in fact i go for MP calender retrograde in auto ML190 movement, and after that i got my dream ML watch to fulfill my "childhood" dream watch...

my last ML

drop by some watch shop and try out whichever model that touch your heart the most, good luck and welcome aboard :)

What a coincidence...
My 1st serious swiss watch is also a Maurice Lacroix...
It the Pontos Rectaungulaire Chrono...
Beautiful watch.
Liked it for it's design.
That time I was clueless on movements and stuff... I just bought what I liked. No regrets.

Regarding watches being cheaper in HK, I wouldn't bet on it...
Since the Chinese consumers are gobbling up luxury items even with minimal discounts.
I would guess they would not give two hoots about us...
With that said, I am visiting HK at Dec and hoping more to see the range that they have (should be full range available) rather than making an actual purchase, but if... just if... the discounts is acceptable... never say never... hehehe
Terrenceterrence "seriously, i think buying a watch for it's secondhand value is like getting married and thinking about divorce at the back of your mind."

the price of ML has gone up a lot over the years...

due to the weaker RM... no longer cheap buying in HK but youncan get models or stock that you cant find here...

HK is a very good for pre owned watches because a lot of stock and prices are good

im no brand snob, i like whatever is nice.. one of them is ML !.....

acquired one myself few months back.. my 2nd ever auto.. in love till today..

u can get something like this for slightly above ur budget new reducing to s low as 6k second hand.. Pontos 43mm

or if u find it too sporty, u can get the all stainless steel version ( from the same range) new well within ur budget reducing to s low s 4k second hand

but the one to get without paying excessive money (imho not more than 25k) is .......  Seconde Mystérieuse 43mm

Seconde mysteriouse at 40k!!??? my god i was mislead.. or misquoted... or heard wrong....

was in amsterdam few months back saw one at a watch shop selling at euro8k.. i assumed its before discount so rough figure in my head is below rm30k... ( mid to high 20s )

didnt check it was new or pre owned... at 40k its way above what i can afford ( or even to willing to ) to buy...

there goes my bullet with 'seconde mysteriouse' on it..

thanks guys for waking me up from my dream...
