« on: October 10, 2013, 09:37:48 PM »
Hi all Panerai sifus.
I really need your help.
This will be my first Panerai.
What's your proposed model and why do you think that's ok.
Appreciate all your input and opinions.
Thank you so much.....

ps. even a pre owned one that cost more than 20k new,but now going for around 20k is also considered.

pam000  - zero is hero, u get the logo on the dial
pam005 - logo with small second at 9

pam 111 - sandwich dial and see through caseback showing a well finished movement, cosc
pam 112 - same as 111 but without a small second, non cosc.... but u get 3, 6, 9, 12

pam 176- like 112 in titanium case
pam 177- like 111 in titanium case

pam 24 - pam with diver bezel, auto
pam 25 - same with 24 with titanium case and grid texture dial

If you have an iPad, you can download the Panerai app. If not you can check out their website.

I would personally recommend you check out their contemporary (with date or chronograph complications) range of their catalogue. A few of them should fall under your budget.

Have fun!

After figure one which model you like the best way to confirm is to drop by some watch shop. Picture and watch on your wrist may tell different story.

Good luck.

Yes, you are definately right about this , was previously aiming for a 1950 case specifically the 312 , tried it on & doesn't look right on my wrist compared to the 1940 case & the Radiomir is alright tho but i wanted my 1st pam to hv a crown protector. Also 47mm definately doesnt go very well with my small wrist. :Blue:

So TS you'll definately need to go a the AD to try it out yourself.

check the difference between different casing style---Luminor, Radiomir or Sub..these are the 3 general ones to start off with...
then check out if you want painted or sandwich dial
then gotta ask if want base 2 hands model or you prefer some complications ....second subdial, GMT, date
...quite long story also.... ;D

All the best....

Let me make it easier (or harder) for you.. ;D

Thanks pexus,CLK1213.
I think I've zoom in on the pam292.
I like the classic look and the black ceramic case.
What's your take on this model?

292 is a good choice, more so if you could find the older J series with SLC on dial.

Try to get a use PAM 390 . Hold it's value pretty well. Nice tabacco dials too. Here is a review made by our merchant and a friend of mine too .
