there was a commotion in one of the singapore forum about a seller selling fake IWC of a similar model you mentioned

yup.. a lot of fake IWC Top Guns surfaced at 1 time, esp in the U.S.

Best is to send in to AD to verify and expose the seller if its fake.

I would advise you to buy it from an AD since *edited* discount is not really attractive. You could probably get an even better discount if you bargain hard enough.  Also, check the validity of the warranty. I will not go for it if I were you.
