What do you think of the PAM00512 as a dress watch?
The PAM00512 is a nice watch but it is 42mm. I like the size and the design. The movement is not to bad either. The only issue is if you can live with the lack of minute markers and the ecru lume. And of course other paneristi asking you why 42mm and not the 47mm, not realizing how silly some of them look with 47mm watches on their wrist. I have an 8 inch wrist and at best I can carry the 44mm luminor and the 45mm radiomir. Nothing bigger, I tried.
If you don't like the 1940 case design, and still want to maintain the 42mm size, there is the PAM00337 or PAM00338. Basically same watch, different material, with the PAM00337 in stainless steel and the PAM00338 in titanium.
If you want the minute markers, and at 42mm, you are left with the PAM00523. But it is white dial, with date and 42mm. Not really the DNA of Panerai. But I like it. I started with the PAM00003 and still have it.
As for the PAM00532, I like it, minus the case back inscription, which is rather cheesy. But the rest of the watch is great. Sadly it's 47mm and 9,200 Euro. At the price range, there are other options, other brands to look at.
Hope that helps.
