Sharing of Helpful Contacts
« on: May 26, 2010, 03:55:49 PM »
i know this may not necessary be approved by the admins and moderators but i was just wondering if we could have a thread recommending good contacts which are helpful for enthusiasts like us, especially newbies (like me!).

what i mean is we can help share good watchmaker contacts, stores which sell watchmaking tools/accessories, and etc. which makes life for us much easier without having to look high and low for these when we need them.

i for one, took some time to find a 1.6mm screwdriver which actually worked for my radiomir. finally i found out that there was a store in petaling street which sold watchmaker's tools and accessories. price were reasonable and my god did they have all the sorts of toys u'd need if u're toying with your watch.

but for me, i'm still looking for a good watchmaker to service/polish/mod my watch. i'm prefering not to send it back to richemont since it's after warranty and they will charge me RM1200 just for that.

if we maintain this thread well, i'm sure a lot of people will benefit and not have to go thru the trouble again.

what u guys think?

p.s.-anybody got a good watchmaker to recommend?

I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?
