Seiko JDM Repair Contact
« on: August 15, 2013, 09:56:07 AM »
I have a seiko samurai JDM auto watch that seems the rotor is stuck/rotating roughly and now the watch is not ticking

I called Thong Sia, and they charge RM200 just to send to Japan and can't indicate how much will it cost in the end.

I check with a few repair shop and they do not do seiko

So need contact for a reasonable japan watch repairer locally. Thanks

Samurai uses a 7S35 right.
interesting that Thong Sia cant service it.
afaik, all movements 6R15 and below can be serviced here.

anyway, you can try PK Time in One Utama.

After further check on the 7S25 movement, it seems to be made in Japan movement.

Sigh.............most probably need to send there.

Hopefully locally can be repaired.

Hi,

If I were you I'll just get it repaired locally. The Cal.7S25 is similar to the more abundant Cal.7S26 (used in most Seiko 5 and the SKX divers) except the former (with its last digit being 5) has only the date function whilst the latter (with its last digit being 6) has both the date and day functions. Thong Sia Malaysia is not doing the Seiko brand any great favour by being selective in what they will service but this is clearly not the first time owners of Seiko having to experience such nonsense. Maybe TS is being held back by Seiko Corp Japan in which case it's Seiko's own loss. But you should be able to get it serviced by any third party watchmaker including at that shop operated by the two rather unfriendly women at Kompleks Selangor (if you are in KL). Good luck...

Thanks Enkidu. Can PM me the shop in Kompleks Selangor.

I think this was provided before in our forum when we discussed watch tools back in November last year. It's the same shop located at ground floor of Komplek Selangor. Just do a search on this forum "Kompleks Selangor".
