Actually it's more like almost 30K+ premium for the new Daytona now. Was just over at a boutique yesterday. Interestingly enough I spotted a brand new "Kermit" for sale to but also at around 30K+ premium but comes with the current 5 years warranty instead. Crazy....Bro, where you see this kermit? Im interested to go take a look. Take a look only. Lol

Those interested on the model should patiently wait for the price drop...normally high premium imposed by the ADs on the Rolex novelty model.

Haha, that true - best to call first. This reminded me of one episode in my watch collecting hobby. There are some similarities.
The target was for a Seiko JDM model that was priced ridiculously high in KL but not in Japan. Although the premium was substantial (even after taking into consideration GST by Customs), i decided to personally pick up one in Japan since i was heading there for something else. I called ahead, book a unit, flew over and the rest was history.
This action alone saves me the GST portion which made the acquisition even more sweeter.

I think the easiest way to get this piece was to look for smaller AD outside Asia and major cities (Tokyo, NYC, Paris, London) on basel release date. The AD I dealt with was honest and promised not to charge premium. Obviously very difficult to obtain at list or discount in Malaysia Singapore HK.
The price $15,700 AUD (including GST of $1,427) = at the time costed me $43,000 ringgit. I think it is very good value.

The fuel or trigger that make the ADs confident about jacking up the price could be the 'waiting list' itself. The longer the list implies high 'perceived' demand. Solution, get out of any list your are on now/don't bother signing up to any.

5711 the wait was almost a year if I recalled correctly. the deposit was 15k ringgit.

I never like white dials. All the watches I got are black dials only nautilus is blue dial.
I am aware that the white dial is more desirable and better in terms of price performance for this particular piece and also most people out there like the look of the white dial over black. Some prefer white because the color scheme is more closer to the original PN colour.
When I placed my order during the release date I told them I wanted black dial.

got it for 14,272 AUD which is the list price after GST claim. Order made on 2016 basel release date when rolex announced it+ deposit transferred same date. and picked it up on 2/8/2016.
