Nice pictures and story so far
But I think cheapest Speedy is Speedmaster Reduced.
thanks for sharing..... nice SM....
Nice pair of Omegas. How is the accuracy of the Co-ax movement?
Fren, good choice... With the exercise(typing ur computer for posting in Mwf)
n getting more omega Your heart will beat smoothly n ur cholestrol level sure at gd level!
Well manburg.
The poison has seeped in deeply and badly. No known cure at the moment....
For some, it may take years to recover..........
Good luck to you.
dc
nice nato combo on bond watch !
I love the speedmaster
Hi manburg,
I guess you can call yourself an omehgah-maniatic.
FYI: the cheapest speedmaster is actually piggybacked movement (2824 with module if i not wrong) as opposed to 7750 movement (which is an actual chrnograph movement itself)
Thats a nice conclusion. What's more can a WIS ask for..4 omegas in a row.
So a definate cure is a poorer pocket....well said. Thanks for sharing.
dc
you really do lost your mind :o
Manburg; I see you are now a recovered watcholic. You very sure of that?.....Its take me years to come to my senses.... and yes, my pocket is still half empty....Thats a nice conclusion. What's more can a WIS ask for..4 omegas in a row.

I can see you're only 60% recovered. I guess the pocket is still half full? ;)
dc
to aid in your recovery, you should reduce your collection... I wouldn't mind taking the PO off your hands... ;D
Crazy? Not really, just Omega mania. Anyway, mine says hello.

Bravo. That's a good narrative Manburg. Thanks for sharing.
Now we know there are at least 2 Omega sifus on this forum, namely you and Hobbit.

Manburg, is time to get a Ploprof ;D
nonononono... don't get him started again... :o he's just recovered his mind!!! ;D
Manburg,
I was lucky to get the X-33. It is Gen 1 and early Serial number, placing it around the launch date. Got it at a good price. Comes with the titanium bracelet, 'local' long canvas strap ala NASA version and a Taikonaut NATO strap. I got the Kevlar strap to make it 'more like' the watch used by the astronauts.
Manburg,
Here are the pictures:
Hobbit, you definitely know your watch.
Hobbit, what's your view of the local Omega scene, anything interesting? In particular, where can one get good prices for pre-owned Omegas?
Hi Manburg,
Local Omega scene as in Malaysia or in Taiwan? I am not familiar with the Omega scene in Malaysia. If Taiwan, it is pretty good.
i love the lego pic. I have that same set
... where do you store them? Nowadays, budak kecik dah tak main lego... :(

Have a Ferrari F1 as well but not with me at the moment.
Aren't we going off topic now? :Laughing_on_floor:
How bout create another thread in OT discussion side and let all the lego lovers go wild there hehe ;D
wow nice watches
Nice pictures and story so far
Thanks! And it's only half of the story so far. Stay tuned! :laugh:But I think cheapest Speedy is Speedmaster Reduced.
Well, as I said, I was a novice. But I wasn't interested in the Reduced anyway due its small size. Even the Speedy Date, with its 40mm seems a bit small to my liking.
great collection. lucky is omega but not panerai o rolex o iwc where they got plenty model and more pricy to follow. hahaha. thx for the sharing...it is really ausump
Sorry to divert, couldnt resist when I saw the lego pic...Millenium Falcon....Here is mine to join yours ;D

or psstt.. are you getting any new ones?;D
No la bro!! If you read this thread carefully from the beginning, you'd understand that it's pretty much clear that I've now recovered from the disease. :Praying:
Sure or not????
Damn.....i've been planning to get an Omega for 2 years and you got 3 in a space of 1 month!! Any regrets so far?
Being new to the forum, I've never started a post regarding my watches in the gallery. And seeing that this has never been done before, I now take the liberty to do so, which is putting the modest collection (if it can actually be called "collection") of my Omegas here. The story goes as this. Some time back in August, I took the decision to start owning an Omega (note the word "an"). Then, after choosing the model that I wanted to buy from the Omega website, but without having the benefit of learning from the wisdom of the Omega WIS community in any of the fora, I headed to the nearest AD and straight away bought my first Omega (the cheapest Speedmaster available), which is as shown below:
It's a Speedmaster Date 3211.31.00. Below are some more photos:
Without its steel leg:

Can you see the red dot there?
With new leg. But the problem is the lug width is 19mm. So it's the case of neither here nor there. This is with a 18mm NATO:

Whereas this is with a 20mm NATO:
Thus, after getting my first Omega, I thought it was wise of me to start 'berjinak-jinak' with a WIS forum, in particular its Omega forum. It turned out to be A VERY BIG MISTAKE!!!
To be continued ...
Opps... prefer Malaysia RP if possible. Haha...
Thanks! I actually know roughly the Seamaster RP. But for Speedmaster, there are too many versions/variety.. Would want to know the cheapest range, see if they are within my budget. :P
What is of uppermost importance is to know the model number. Speedmaster Professional (or more affectionately known as the "Moonwatch") numbers 3570.50.00. Do not be confused with another version of it, known as Sapphire Sandwich, which numbers 3573.50.00.(http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/pencintalego/My%20Omega/Moonwatch/SapphireSandwich.jpg)
Manburg, noting that you bought your Omegas from Uk, did you get any VAT back? Or was it duty free?
Me thought prices in M'sia pretty good except for high end stuff. Discounts off RRP normally offered with few exceptions.
when u said you spent hours in front of Omega forums, were you poisoned by those deadly topics like `Show me your Omegas'? i recalled one fella was showing off his seriously superb picture of POs....very dangerous site to visit...
'
I was stuck in front of the WUS Omega forum plus other sites on anything Omega. Yes, those are very vicious and poisonous places to visit. It's like Hotel California - "You can check out any time you like but you can never leave."
