I've not seen much written about the Rolex Skydweller on MWF. Some say its a fugly what. I personally love the blackdial version! It is now my grail watch.
What do others think? Also will some sky dweller owners comment on durability and accuracy of the movement?
-
i do find it fugly or very uncle look alike too, and with the function i do not need
with that $ i'd go for the pepsi white gold GMT :)
-
I tried it out at the rolex AD and it really looks great in the flesh. Pictures don't do it justice.
My comments only hold true for the white gold blackface version
-
personally i find it beautiful. Its one of those f* off watch that tells people you are rich.
-
I hope they release a ss version

The watch looks really awesome in the flesh. Show off watch or not depends on ones point if view.
This watch is a serious contender as a retirement watch. The only one you will ever need. And if the bling factor is upsetting some, go for the white gold one. Most ppl can't tell anyway.
And i don't think it will come is stainless steel. I could be wrong but i feel that Rolex is positioning the Sky-Dweller as a precious metal only watch ala Day-Date

Does it read January 20th?

Does it read January 20th?
Yes it does... January 20th 2014... lol
Watch belongs to my boss.
Was having a cuppa with him and candidly ask to view the watch closer.
He obliged.
How i wish it was mine... ;D

Fugly and stupidly expensive for a Rolex. Rolex is just taking the piss.
-
Does it consider a complication? Annual calendar ?
How's the ring command function?
-
No reviews or comments from real owners? Really interested to know this movements accuracy.
-
Rolex as usual COSC specs, I'm more interested on the ring command function
-
I belief due to its price
When u can afford and like this dressy piece
U might not the type of person who like and have time online

I think price always drives the demand, that's where the fans are pursing different affordable model..

Ring lock command is just made for ease of use.
Setting the watch is a breeze eventhough it's a GMT + Annual Calendar

I hope they release a ss version
Maybe in the year 2105....
Back when it was released, people called it fugly and all manner of names. But as time goes by, it has grown to be very desirable.

I still call it fugly! I world rather catch herpes than be seen wearing this watch!

Really?herpes rather than wearing a skydweller.....
Not my taste either but given a choice i would rather be seen wearing this watch and court a couple of hot chicks rather than be seen as a guy with herpes any day any time..... lol....

Lol
I may have exaggerated for dramatic effect. I already got my hot chick, I suppose it wouldn't be fair to give her herpes just because I don't care for a particular watch!
