Before I bought my Ball, I waz really really interested with the Oris Big Crown Complications...
It looks good... Then, after I get the Ball, I then changed my eyes to the ladies' Oris Big Crown Pointer Date...
She likes the design, just it wouldn't match her as it is abit too big...

Upgrade? Shall I say moved on?

After read more on horology, found out this is not a real skeleton watch. It's just merely dial-less.  :)
Nothing much Oris done on the movement, except that red rotor.
Bezel is quite a scratch magnet.

That's better choices on that price range.

I liked the older oris bc3, from the days before the red rotor. Had one, sold it, bought another, sold it as well.

Oris is not high-end? The prices do seem to put it on the high-end.

I don't own any but I do look at them. Bought one for as a gift because I liked how it looked. May own one someday if I see one that I like.

I am familiar with this watch Joseph. I bought one in 1992 when I was a student in Singapore. Mine was in SS, white dial. Bought it at that shopping centre opposite Plaza Singapura at the other end of the Dhoby Ghaut station (Penang Road). S$ 450. Cheaper option than the Revue Thommen Cricket which was going for S$ 1,200 at that time. Not with me anymore. Divested it together with many others as my interest changed.

Looks like we had the same taste back in 1990's...... ;)
Well I've long outgrown the watch as its way too small for my fat & bloated wrist now.
Tried to sell it but at the prices offered vs the current ORIS alarms, felt that it was more logical to just let my missus use it, to rotate as a daily office watch.

In total I purchased 3 Oris watches whilst in Singapore. The first was in 1990when I just got into university. It was a central sweep automatic with plexi-glass and a see through case back. Rare feature at that time. Less than S$ 200 maybe.

I was really taken in by the Oris slogan in the early 1990's ==> Its' High Mech. THere was this cool advertisment in black and white showing the mechanism of a wrist alarm and someone winding it I remember. That spurred me to save up and bought the wrist alarm in 1992. I was taking part time art lessons at Mount Sophia and I walked over to Penang Road after lessons one saturday afternoon to purchase the watch.  S$ 450. I think.

My third and last Oris had a small subdial for the second hand, at the 9 o'clock position. 27J, anti shock, anti-magnetic. Paid a whopping S$ 630 for it. Got it at a shop near the Bugis MRT station, 1994 about the time of my graduation. I remember the leather gave way after only a few weeks, and I had to go to Oris' service centre somewhere between Outram Park and Tiong Bharu where I asked for a SS bracelet. This watch served me for a good number of years, travelling to wherever I travelled those days. I was not aware of being able to polish plexiglass those days, and its plexiglass was so scratched after a few years I decided not to wear it any more.

ORIS for sure a high end brand.. its just a lot of forumers were talking about luxury watches i.e Rolex, IWC, Omega etc.

Otis was my second watch after Omega Constellation. It grew to be my favorite watch for several years. Sadly it has since been displaced but every time I feel like trading it away, I realize that I really like this watch and so it remains in my collection.
