Tudor normally uses the ETA 2824-2T movement from ETA, which indicate that it is a 'Top' grade movement. The photograph confirms that the movement is either 'Top' or 'Chronometer' movement.
Great
And thank god that's no superlative chronometer officially certified on the dial
Have not seen a Tudor with COSC before. Don't think there will be any soon.
Although no cosc, but my experience with the 33 year old 94110 is that it runs within chronometer specs... actually, it's around the same as my 14060.
I dunno how reliable is the news but some blogs and sites have listed the Pelagos at usd4400 retail and the Black Bay at usd3200... for the leather strap combo.
Quite a difference for 300m extra water resistance and titanium case and bracelet.
I visited my local Rolex uncle and he told me even if Tudor uses ETA movements, they are of the highest grade, decorated and some minor mods... mostly on high wear parts.
According to him, Tudor does not use the standard parts (high wear ones), they make their own.
Reliable info? Take it with a pinch of salt I guess.
Locally, no word on prices and availability date yet though.
