Hi All

Was surprise to see there is a local forum on watches , my Seiko kinetic that has been with me for the past 10 yrs recently died :(

i was looking for a replacement & Ball watches really caught my eye.I've narrow my selection to the Engineer hydrocarbon chronograph & mad cow version. As I'm totally new to swiss made watches , i was hoping for some expert advice here pertaining to these watches.

i've also done 1 round of searching around a few shopping mall around Subang area but found that not many watch shop is carrying this brand , did found 1 in Pyramid but they don't carry both models :(

Opps , could've cut out the bottom part when i've fiddling around with the image function.

Just want to know if there is any specific dealers around klang valley that will be carrying both models & their price/discounts.

i hear their used prices aren't so great, so everyone is keeping their Balls, even if they are no longer using them  :Laughing_on_floor:

Engineer hydrocarbon chronograph & mad cow version - quite rare in the pre-owned market.

You are lucky, if you can find one in pristine condition.

I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

Spoken to the Ball sales ppl, the above model are still in production but the local agent is not bring them in as the price point is lower. The new basel 2011 hydrocarbon are price about RM10k and above.

If any local ad got stock just grab it especially the mad cow.

Spacemaster glow ? ... Hmm , have not tried yet , how is it compared to mad cow ? Was looking at a titanium built due to the weight on the normal version

I think it was because John "Mad Cow" Hembel is the ambassador for that model, so that is why most people call it mad cow. Now how he got the nick name, that is another whole story

If I am not mistaken, he is a top downhill speed skier. I think the image is on the case back of the model. This is one of the unique features of Ball, the engraved case back.
