Why no confidence? They are appointed and trained by Rolex, to me no difference.

Will you not eat McD or KFC if its outside USA? Think bout it.

And yes there is a RSC in Indo.

Menara Sudirman Level 12A
60 Jalan Jend Sudirman Kav
Jakarta 12190
Jakarta Raya
Indonesia
Tel: +62 21 522 7192
Fax: +62 21 522 7191

Unless you have heard or know horror stories about the RSC in Jkt, if not i dont see why not send it there since its near to you.
If you dont want to pay that much then no choice la.

Thks, will call them up

Do tell us your findings.
Would be interesting to find out what are the price differences amongst the countries.

For reference when i was in San Francisco, it cost usd680 for basic service of my Explorer-1.

Hi Takashi,

Just called them up !

Minimum is RP5.0 juta (RM1750)

LOL :)

They asked me to send it in and takes 15-20 min to check and determine exact cost:)

They also said they are auth dealer from Geneva when i asked is it safe.

Personally i do not trust anything here be it authorised or not. There is not much accountability here for much of everything althought not sure abt servicing.

Well if you dont trust the entire country even authorized then why are you in the country anyways?

I guess thats your own choice you can fly back to Singapore to send to the guy you mentioned earlier that you feel comfortable with.

Same thing happened to me, not to say i dont trust the RSC in Malaysia or Singapore since i got my SD serviced in San Francisco RSC, but because i used them before and KNOW they do great work and are people of great watch passion so i know my watch will be taken good care of.

So far have not had problems with rsc in Malaysia, Taiwan and Japan. I guess as long as they are listed as a rsc (official), there should not be any issues. If got problem, complain. So far I have sent my rolex and Tudor to rsc in Malaysia and have no issues. Same with my friends.

Trust me, I have had worst experience in other brand service center. In one particular brand, they scratch the dial and I had to show proof that I did not do it. I mean really?

Exactly, authorized dealer does not mean they will do a better job.

Sometimes, they can even argue back that they are auth dealer when something go wrong and they would not have not done this/that mistake :)
