Pam507. How to age bronze quickly?

Hey Guys,

My first post here. I recently just polished my Pam507 Bronzo as it aged to the point where there were too much stains for my liking and green patina all over. I did the polishing myself by hand. It is literally shining right now. Was wondering if anyone has any quick fix to age bronze a little faster. It looks pretty much like a rose gold Pam507 which doesn't look too good.

Disclaimer: I have not tried those methods yet cuz i like my Bronze age slowly and happy with it
BTW what method you use to polish/remove Patina?

I've try a method before. Soak in sea water for a few minutes, n then just take it off under the sun til dry

remove the patina with coke or pepsi. accelerate the patina by putting it into sea water. do it at your own risk.

Thanks guys. I don't really want to accelerate the patina. Just want to get back to a darker shade of bronze. Tried out a few methods above, hardly see any difference. Guess I'll have to live for now

But I have seen in YouTube video the egg method really worked to have Patina.

Yikes!  Did you use cap code or something to clear off those 'patinas' ? Because the bezel and case was meant in brushed finish even after 'de-patina' it. I did on my tubor bb bronze with toothpaste easy and fast . It is still in its brushed finish as after doing it and look just like when i first bought it.

Really curious what you used to polish the case. It should be a brushed finish, and it looks very polished in your pic; looks like you may have shaved some bronze off. As a reference, you should not polish the watch to remove the patina; instead you should soak and clean off in soda water.

Sea water can give you quite an even patina all around. I've personally tried with eggs, but effects are not really noticeable. Probably cause my watch is brass, not bronze.

Used a soft polisher which I use on all my watches. I think I really did screw up the brush finish on this. I tried all methods above. It doesn't give it an even patina. Looks pretty bad. The egg method works fastest but I think it doesn't oxidise the bezel evenly.

Sure! Basically i just rubbed the whole case with my hands using the toothpaste, then i start using soft toothbrush to make the toothpaste gets through the case evenly. After doing this, i let the watch sit for 20-30mins with toothpaste on it and directly clear the toothpaste on the case with warm water and you'll see the result

The fastest way to patina your watch evenly is by a mixture of Liver of Sulfur. Eggs work but are slower and give a different patina. Another way is to accumulate sea water and just submerged it once in a while.

To brush off the patina, don't use cape cod or any polish, just submerge it in soda or lime and wait. When it reaches the shade you want, rinse it with warm water.

Getting your bronze watch to develop patina is akin to getting leather getting that aged look.

Don't try anything out of the ordinary because it is irreversible. Just wear it and let it age on its own.
