I've read from somewhere u will only end up paying about extra 6% for the gst and around 100-150 for the custom duty and charges. If joma uses FedEx they will deliver to ur doorstep by settling the gst for u in advance and make payment to them before they will release the package to u. While the other shipping company will sign Pos laju as their agent to send the package within Malaysia which will incur another charges based on size and weight of item but ofcourse FedEx is still more expensive though.. once pos laju receive package they will send u a letter to notify u whether to collect the package urself at Klia or to clear the package for u at custom then billing u later on.

They have been in existence for a good no. of years and if you look at their pricing, you would notice that the prices were pretty competitive. Do note, however, that most of the watches were sold with their 2-years in-house warranty (grey retailer set) so any warranty claims would likely be quite a hassle as you would need to send the article back to US; failing which you could still walk into the local SCs and pay out of pocket (ouch!). I have purchased from retailers in US previously; and for those sent via FedEx, they would take care of the 6% GST plus handling charges; so you need to factor in another circa 6-8% on top of the sale price. Hope this helps!

I have heard of them and apparently they are reliable. I also intend to buy from them but the only thing I don't like is, they wont give you the original warranty card, instead they will give you their own. Thats the only stopping me from buying from them.

this is right... i bought a brand new U-Boat flight deck titanium off them years ago and they sent it without the card... when i questioned them they said they take care of the warranty in house... thats great if you want to send it all the way back to the USA and it killed the resale because it was a incomplete set

Joma is not an authorised retailer hence they can't provide stamp on warranty card. Where they get their stock from? I am curious too.

Purchased from Joma before pre-GST. My watch was lost in transit. Called to FedEx, they lost the tracking etc and after 1-2mths of investigation, item confirmed lost. Joma sent me the replacement and all in took 3mths.

Can we take joma's price as the basis of negotation with local dealers. Some brand seems like local dealer is holding much more margin.

Recently I have come across this Joma which their price is way a lot better deal than local dealer here, but when comes to warranty you might scratch your head twice before pull the trigger as they prove their own in house warranty, if anything go wrong with your purchase you might end up send it back to US, it's really hassle for me.

i bought from US before too, from Amazon, after comparing the price, it seems similar to Jomashop's offer.

Nevertheless, the concern is really on the warranty, because when shit happens, it is going to be a trouble to replace.
You will need to sent it back and wait, and re-check and so on.

Not worth the hassle to save a couple of hundreds.
