Hi all,

I'm thinking to get my first luxury Swiss watch and I'm obsessed with Bell & Ross BR S Golden Heritage series. Just wondering is Bell & Ross a wise choice to start off with? Would appreciate if you guys can advice on this. Thanks

Short answer. No. There are much better pieces with much better history and movement that you can get for 15k.

I will not consider B&R at all. Just my personal preference. No offense.

Tudor will be perfect fit on the price range.
But well buy what you like.

I think the Heritage series looked pretty good. And BR has good discounts, even for walk-ins, so you don't have to be on good terms with ADs only to get the preferential discounts. If you like it, go ahead and pull the trigger. I used to have a BR01 RDM, and it has quite good wrist presence. But for the RM15k that you have, you may want to try on some Tudor heritage pieces for a second opinion. Used to have a couple of such pieces, and you do get a lot of watch for the monies paid.

+/- RM15k is a lot of money.
Do take your time to read and try their watches before committing to one.
After your research, if you still like B&R, perhaps you should redo your research

If you're planning to buying brand new, B&R to me is one of the best watch to buy around 10k

In terms of its design, style and dial, there is just not many that can beat that for the price range

I've a BR126 officer and its one fine good looking watch.. the vintage range is just so clean, legible and beautiful

On a branding standpoint, perhaps it shouldn't, but it gets way more compliments than my other watches that cost much more. Having said that, if it were me, I would buy the watch that speaks to you the most.

B & R design have got some similarity with Panerai.
For the 15K you could look at pam000, 112,111,210,380 for preown.
Strap options will be more for Panerai watches though if you are into straps collection later.
Try them out if you got the chance usually it makes a difference when you have it on your wrist.

its a buyers' market now, you may want to see if you can pick up a used B&R if you are worried about losing too much. I like B&R and think they serve a market niche well. Good luck with your decision.

Panerai is indeed a good choice but I have smaller wrist so the watch might not look so good on me. Anyway, appreciate your suggestions

i owned BRS Golden Heritage as my first BR watch.
it depends on your preferences. if you really like the watch (adore the watch and brand), then go ahead.
i really like the watch from first day i saw. the exact price is 12,600 MYR.

Yep, this place right here is a good place to start but you can find the usual second hand dealers in KL/PJ to find used B&R.

Wow... It's really nice that you have one. I like square watch as compare to the round one. Will check it out at BR boutique. T
Thanks for your advice  ;)

It's one of the watch designs that I can never understand. Can never take the watch seriously by their square case, like a piece of toast strapped on wrist. Of course, this is based on my shallow chronograph knowledge.

See what types of watches you prefer

For me I'll choose Tudor ,Because now Tudor develop their own movement. And you can get a very nice Tudor model below 15k.

Where Bell&Ross model are very basic one within 15k range.
