Edox watches
« on: August 02, 2016, 01:40:04 PM »
Where does Edox stand in the list of luxury watches?  I come to own an Edox chronography watch but it seems not much info available on the model.

It's an Edox Grand Ocean Chronolady.  I'm not sure if it's worth the price.

I used to have a couple of Edox dress and diver watches. I would opine that they have nice and affordable watches, and their customer services were pretty alright too (I sent in a GMT for some works under warranty, and the problem persisted after some tries; they later changed to a brand new GMT watch for me).

Zero cost to you, and there's a dependable Valjoux in there, so really it's a great deal for you and/or your spouse

Tht's the thing...I couldn't find any info on the movement and was unsure what it is.  It's a quartz.

If it's a Valjoux, then can keep la, else maybe flip it for funds to get your Genesis....

If it's quartz, then perhaps it's ETA G10 or a similar movement. The Valjoux I mentioned was for auto-chrono. RM8k for a Edox quartz chrono seemed to be rather steep of a price, no? Anyway, the good thing about the quartz are the affordable servicing. I recently serviced an Omega Speedy at the SC and it's controlled price for such a servicing was circa RM2.5k IIRC, but they did gave another 2-years warranty thereafter. When I sent a Tag quartz for servicing at the SC, it was only RM500 IIRC.

Yeah, didn't thin it was worth that much when I found out it's a quartz.  The price was quoted from the contest website and about RM6K from AD.

Anyway, thanks for info..will be closing thread.
