New member of my Pilots Chronograph Collection
« on: May 25, 2016, 07:41:00 AM »
Would like to share the joy of my new member in my pilot chronograph collection.

Its an old Breitling Navitimer back from early 1990's ref A13020, as many may already know Navitimer is not just a luxury watch infact in 1952 when its first introduced is a waerable computer and navigational instrument for pilots.

In short Navitimer is an important icon for pilot chronographs.

Classic navitimer , I guess this model is worn by the main Korean actor in the Descendant of the sun.. (Correct me if I am wrong), Recently try it in a local AD retailing about RM33k  +  ..what do u think of its legibility given its busy dial ??

Yes the busy dial do affect the ease of reading but that's the uniqueness of this watch.

If u see closely the one featured in the korean drama is the latest model with Breitling in house movement and the dial layout is different.

This one run on a 7750 movement which I think is the less expensive model back then in 90's

But what catch me is the patina on this old watch that turned most of the white to a bit smoky off white.
