Keep your PO, put it in safe/winder, get a G-Shock, wear the G-Shock everyday for 3 months at least.

Until your brain has cooled off, make the decision again.

I would say that it would be somewhat of a waste to place the PO in the winder for at least 3 months before deciding if he should sell it. After all, the PO's value would not be enhanced even if unused, sitting pretty in the winder as the days go by. He should wear it daily for 3 months, then see if the Sub still sings to him after he has "acclimatised" to the PO after the 3 months. If he feels that he must have the Sub and the only way to raise the moolah for the Sub was by bidding goodbye to the PO, then at least the depreciation was for a good cause.

Too often (I stand guilty too) we buy a watch at an impulse but after a couple of days found that it doesn't quite sing to us. But then again, watch-flipping is half the fun for this hobby so I have always enjoyed the process.

So Skydrag, worry not as your PO would not be your 1st piece, neither will it be your last piece. You might as well surrender to the dark side and get a 12-watches case for a start, and start filling up the box.  ;D

I have to agree with Bro Hanz and Bro Jacky. During the early stages, we tend to be quite brash. Give it some thought. The Planet Ocean is a brilliant watch in its own right. Technologically, it is as good if not better than the Rolex. Unfortunately, it does not carry the Crown logo hence it is often perceived as the lesser watch. There is nothing 'lesser' about the Planet Ocean. Keep it and save for the Submariner. When the time comes, you do need a daily wearer/ beater on top of your Rolex.

I would say that both this Omega and the Sub ND qualify as wearer/beater. Better to save up for a nice dress watch instead.

Since you just bought the PO, you'll lose roughly the same amount regardless if you sold it now or a bit later.

And lastly, something made you choose it over the sub ND a few weeks ago so don't be easily swayed by popular opinion.

Thanks bro, well said
You are correct, there is something made me choose this PO over the submariner back then
I will keep this and try to save for a dress watch like IWC, Glashutte or a submariner in future

Skydrag, o got it right!!!. My take is that the PO is a great watch. Better or not than d R is ur own decision. R has d snob appeal tho it does nothing 4 me. my first luxury watch was a Seamaster more than 10 years ago n over time, i've had another 4 omegas but no R. U chose d PO so it must hv rugged at ur senses then so keep it... If in few years u still want d R, go for it... Next purchase should be a dress/formal watch.... In any case, never buy a watch to flip it, u will lose... Enjoy what u have n future acquisitions...ai
