Window shopping...
« on: June 30, 2013, 01:33:45 AM »
I was just strolling around Dubai mall today. There's a whole section of watch shops pretty much like the whole of Bukit Bintang area of almost all makes and brands.

Here are some of the models I really like, just to share...

This GO is just fantastic!

Moon watch...

and being an IWC fan, I can't help but hanging around here a little longer...

Managed to get a feel of the new Ingenieur watch, the 40mm automatic. Great size, and quite thin. I may consider this if I can get a fat discount from an AD... and I mean a real FAT discount....

The new Chronograph Silver Arrow is just fantastic! Unfortunately, it doesn't look good on me due to its lug shape and configuration...

and my all time favourites are the spitfire chrono and the portuguese 7 days.

Lurking around the corner of my eye is the all time iconic Big pilot....

I can't help but try it on...

It was pretty much a challenge from my wife. Even she tried it on and was expressing her interest in the big pilot.
While I was getting worried about the size and how it may look ridiculously big on my wrist, she made a good point; it's either you go all the way in being different or nothing at all.
Obviously I did not pass the mental test on this one, but I was much more comfortable with the classic SS pilot watch.
But between the 2 of us, I think she'll beat me to it if any one of us plans to get it!  8)

This GO oozes class and fine workmanship.  If only I can afford one... maybe with an Obese discount...  :P

Yep.  No offence, but you can't pull that one off.  It looks clownish.

It was almost mesmerizing, the gold index and hands with the pearl like silver dial was incredibly beautiful. There's also a Stainless Steel version with blue hands and index that carries an almost down to earth price, but I doubt it carries the impression of the rose gold as shown above.

Well, that's the whole point of window shopping...
Having said that, I would envy the boldness of someone were to wear this on the streets and be comfortable with it, even if it may look ridiculous to some. Its a general perception that borders personal taste and acceptance of things...

IMHO...if the watch lugs extends over your wrist...it will be a case of the watch wearing you instead of you wearing the watch.   :)

The GO is absolutely gorgeous. In fact...it will be tough choosing between the PanoReserve, PanoLunar and the PanoInverse.
